I was commissioned by Archaeology in the community to illustrate a poster for the celebration of DC Archaeology Month 2025. The idea for the design came from feedback given to me by students at the River Terrace Elementary School. Because the illustration was intended to be distributed throughout classrooms in DC, my concept centered on seeing the joys of archaeology through the eyes of children. I imagined each child as an archaeologist who is doing what they love with childlike joy.
